Alex Ekka is ten years old and lives in extremely challenging circumstances. His father is a contract laborer and his mother is engaged in domestic work.
Alex approaches learning with enthusiasm and makes a consistent effort to work independently. He has shown improvement in his communication skills and tries to read on his own. He has just completed his studies in Std. III of the Pali-Chimbai Municipal School adopted by Aseema.
In addition to academic work, Alex takes a keen interest in general knowledge and current affairs. He has a good memory for event and facts and participates actively in class discussions. He is also a budding artist and is delighted when his work is displayed on the school notice board.
Alex loves sports especially football and judo. He proudly represented his class in the group relay on Sports Day. On the Amar Inam Annual Day, he played the part of an engineer in a skit.
Thank you, Tom A, Kandace, Lee, Tom P, Thomas, Sarah, Pradeep, Peter, Michael and Neil (x3) for coming together to support one entire year of education for Alex. In addition to providing tuition, your donation will cover the cost of a  backpack, study materials, uniforms (including a raincoat and sports shoes), a mid-day meal and an annual medical check up and excursion.
